Debbie Ressler, RN, BSN

Chairwoman

Ressler, a Registered Nurse, holds a BS in Nursing from Florida Southern College and past certifications for Adult Critical Care Nursing (CCRN). She has more than thirty years’ experience working in multiple nursing specialties at several Florida hospitals - including St Joseph’s Hospital in Tampa, H Lee Moffitt, and Tampa General Hospital. In addition to her nursing career and devoting time to her family, Ressler has also been an active community volunteer for many years.

In 2009, she was appointed by Gov. Charlie Crist to serve a four-year term on the Citrus County Hospital Board (CCHB) of Trustees and in 2013, was reappointed for a second term by Gov. Rick Scott. Previously served as a Guardian ad Litem, assigned by the Court to protect the best interest of minors, Ressler was appointed and served on the Florida Guardian ad Litem Statewide Qualifications Committee.

Active in the Republican Party, since the 1990s, Ressler is the current chair of the Nature Coast Republican Club (NCRC) She is a member of Citrus County Altrusa. Served in the past as a BOCC appointed member of Stakeholders Advisory Group (SAG), and serves as a member of the Citrus County Community Charitable Foundation, Inc., currently serving as CCHB representative. Ressler also serves on the CMH/HCA Advisory Board and is Secretary for the Citrus United Basket (CUB) Board of Directors.
